Directions: How to get to La Quinta
La Quinta is a hamlet located high above Adeje at 1000 m above sea level and is only accessible by car. You can park your car directly in the parking lot next to the church (Plaza de la Iglesia). Unfortunately, there is no bus service.

Start: Plaza de la Iglesia
The well-signposted path begins at the church of La Quinta. It first leads towards Adeje, then along a pleasant contour line.
Along the Way: Pure Nature
On the first section (approx. 2 km) you will encounter:
- Cacti and typical Canarian vegetation
- Abandoned fincas and ruins
- Dense pine forest and moss-covered Erica shrubs
- In late autumn: wild chestnuts along the path
Tip: The route is particularly atmospheric in fog or low-hanging clouds – almost mystical!
Boca del Paso Junction
Here you can choose:
- Steep descent to Adeje (only for experienced hikers, loose scree!)
- Continue the loop trail (recommended for families and those who want to enjoy the scenery)
On to Aserradero
The path leads over worn rocks. At the next junction:
- Right: Towards Barranco del Infierno & Vilaflor
- Straight ahead: To Tresme and Las Lajas
- Left: Back to La Quinta (for the loop trail)
