The striking rock formation once featured on the 1,000 pesetas banknote<\/strong> and to this day locals affectionately call it \u201cthe 1,000 pesetas<\/strong>\u201d. <\/p>\n\n I park my car at the Parador Nacional<\/strong> or right by the Mirador de la Ruleta<\/strong>. From here, the well-marked trail starts in the direction of Pico Viejo<\/strong>. After just a few minutes, you pass the famous iconic rock. <\/p>\n\n After about 30 minutes, you reach a fork in the path. I recommend taking the left trail towards Ucanca<\/strong>. The route goes gently downhill, and suddenly an incredible panorama opens up with views of: <\/p>\n\n The section by the \u201cLa Catedral\u201d rock formation<\/strong> is especially magical. When the wind whistles through the bizarre rock spires, it sounds like a natural organ concert\u2014an intense moment that makes this short hike unforgettable. <\/p>\n\n After a short but steep climb, you return to the Mirador de la Ruleta<\/strong>, where the loop closes.<\/p>\n\n For me, this hike is a must on every visit to Teide National Park<\/strong>.
